Venice North Jetty

- , United States

( rated by 1 user )

If you are following a cold front ground swell this is the next (and usually last) break rideable on the west coast. from Turtle Brach. Probably is best break on the west coast of Florida, not including the panhandle. Wave holds from 2' to 8' with occasional ridable waves above 8'. Spot can produce hollow short tube rides with fairly long rides not unheard of. The south jetty also produces rare waves during tropical weather systems when the swell is to the north. When you need a break from surfing this area is world famous for fossilized sharks teeth that can be picked up off the beach.
