Pipeline/Jasmine

- Nassau County, United States

( rated by 1 user )

The paper mills on the island laid a pipeline down here for disposing of water used in their cooling systems. this pipe has formed some sandbars, but not much better than the rest of the natural sandbars on the island. if the tide is too low, the outside bar will be exposed, with a decent size swell it will be shorepound conditions. best to wait 2 hours after low, on the incoming. on the highest tide, it is unlikely to break, the outside bar will be too deep. the waves will be mushy or flat, and shoreound on the shore. here on the island its very important to play the tides to be able to score decent waves.
